International Student Banking?

I m an international student in the U.S with Chase. If my parents were to send a relatively large sum of money at ones, will there be any limits, holds or problems? And how much would they have to send in order to avoid any issues?

Your parents can have their bank either pay your school directly (e.g. bill for tuition, fees), and/or deposit to your Chase account (e.g. living expenses) via wire transfer. Or if they have electronic bill-pay facilities through their account at their bank, they can use that to electronically transfer funds. Not a problem through bank systems.

Whether there are limits, holds, or problems depends how they send it. Whether there are issues or not doesn't really depend on how much is sent, though a larger amount might be more likely to raise questions, such as ones about money laundering. Ask your bank what the best way is. Or your parents can ask their bank. Since we have no idea what country they're sending money from or how much they're sending, we can't know the best way to send it
