Paint streaking?

Whenever I try painting portraits with acrylic paint, it starts to streak. What am I doing wrong? Should I add more layers? Please help!

use a softer brush with a lighter touch. I'd also take a look at the acrylic paint you're buying in case it's a bit watered down. Try a different brand and see if this also helps.

For acrylics there are additives that slow the drying time. Then you will be able to blend and move the paint without streaking. Also make sure you wet your brush before putting paint on it.

its difficult to blend because it dries quick and you are just painting on top not blending like oils work faster while its still wet practice makes perfect portraits are difficult with tones of skin and shadows

Simply paint people who have very streaky faces.
