How can I treat acid reflux?

I mistakenly ate a lot of greasy food a few night ago and a lot of caffeine too. I started getting hiccups and pain in my chest. It’s been three days and I’ve had pain swallowing and I’ve been taking antacids. Is there a good way to treat this and does is sound like I have acid reflux?

I call it heartburn, if it's just occasional.

And I treat it by eating raw celery.

Antacids may work in the short term, but if you keep taking them they will cause your stomach to produce more acid to compensate.

    Raw celery.

get some red bell peppers, or yellow or orange ones. NOT the spicy kind, but rather the kind in your local grocery store. eat a bunch of these. it will work wonders.

I take a daily dose of omeprazole (Prilosec) for acid reflux. That prevents me from getting it.
