What kind of antenna should I buy?

I have an HD plasma TV (TH-42PX75U panasonic). I have the Amazon firestick to get Netflix. And I have an antenna that I've had for about 15 years to get over-the-air signals. I live in an apt, so I want a nice looki g indoor antenna. Will an hdtv antenna work or do I need a special kind?

To call it an HDTV antenna is a sales ruse. It either is an antenna or it isn't. It picks up RF, not format. Shop for an antenna that doesn't get in the way and can be placed in the apartment on the side closest to where TV signals come in with the least physical obstruction. I can get HDTV when they broadcast it with a simple monopole or $10 Rabbit-ears. If your TV stations are more than 20 miles away get a yagi antenna.
