Medical students: What volunteering should I look into?
I am interested in volunteering at a hospital. However, they require 6 month commitment and 120 hours for a letter of recommendation. They do not offer clinical volunteering. They also don’t like giving students a taste of other departments and only want students to work in 1 department for their 120 hours.
Would it be worth it? I think I’ll only show commitment if I take that opportunity.

Volunteer at an ambulance.
Half the kids you'll be going to med school with will have never had any meaningful interactions with patients. But if you become a volunteer EMT, you'll smash the requirements and get quality patient care time.
