Take a plane from Dallas to Detroit then swim across Lake Huron.  Alternately take a plane from Dallas (DFW) to Chippewa County International Airport (CIU) for $365 and drive a rental car for 3 hours.  If money is no object you can fly from Dallas to Sault Ste. Marie for about $968 and drive 2 hours and 16 minutes.

The fastest would be to fly to Toronto, ON, take a commuter flight up to Sudbury. ON. and then either take the bus or rent a vehicle to get to Elliot Lake ( about a 2 hour drive ). A second option would be to fly to Sault St. Marie, ON. The drive from there to Elliot Lake is about 2.5 hours but the flight from Toronto to Sudbury is closer than Toronto to Sault St. Marie

Elliot Lake does have a municipal airport but there are no current operating airlines that have regular service to this airport. The closest is Sudbury.

That's the fastest. Whether it is the best is up to you to decide...

I'd fly from Dallas to Toronto, then either fly or take a bus to Sudbury.

From Sudbury, the only way to Elliot Lake is either by an infrequent bus or rent a car, unless you can have someone pick you up in Sudbury.
