Our politicians are pawns of powerful lobbyists and special interest groups. They need them to fund their political reelection campaigns. Drug companies, and the health industry in general, are just one character in the parade of groups that fund our political system.

the big complaint is that they don't try to keep prices within the reach of someone making minimum wage

They do NOT spread diseases. Whether they lie or not may be decided by judges. That they make life saving drugs unaffordable is obvious. Health insurance with a LIFE LONG preexisting condition and your income level is too high for Medicate AMD Medicaid AND disability? Forget it.
