is it possible to lower blood pressure by taking alcohol ?

    Drinking too much alcohol can raise blood pressure to unhealthy levels. Having more than three drinks in one sitting temporarily increases your blood pressure, but repeated binge drinking can lead to long-term increases.

    Mild amounts of alcohol cause vassodilation (causes the blood vessels to dilate). This lowers blood pressure but increases heart rate. However there is a trade off in terms of the risk of kidney and liver disease from chronic alcohol consumption.

    There are studies that show a glass of red wine a day is good for the heart and BP but you need to have at least 2 days alcohol free days , I personally recommend a shot of JD a day , but whatever works for you

    nope...alcohol is converted to sugar in the body, raising BP.....

    yes, but this is not temporary solution

    on the reverse it can increase blood pressure in portal vein system
