Do "revamp" and "reformat" mean the same thing?

Hi. When you give a new structure and appearance to a website, is that a revamp or a reformat? Or is that the same thing? Please help- thank you.

In reference to a website, they are the same. But if you updated a building you couldn't say "we reformatted it".

In general language, "revamp" is a general term, maybe just a face-lift or similar, maybe a change of front details on a car. "Reformat" feels much more technical, some definite change in a way of working etc.

In certain contexts, yes, more or less. Think of 'revamp' as informal.
