Are factories required to give workers 15 min breaks?

I just started working at a warehouse that doesn't allow two 15 min breaks and our 30 min lunch break is unpaid. Is that legal?

    You could ask your HR rep, but you might want to have a back up plan for your paycheck.

    An employer may not employ an employee for a work period of more than 10 hours per day without providing the employee with a second meal period of not less than 30 minutes, except that if the total hours worked is no more than 12 hours, the second meal period may be waived by mutual consent of the employer and employee only if the first meal period was not waived.

    It's not that it is a factory job but rather what the labour laws state for where this factory is located.

    Where I live, you are legally entitled to a 15 minute paid break for every 4 hours you work. You are entitled to a 30 minute non-paid lunch break for every 6 hours that you work.

    Where you work may be different.

    If it is not a union place then they can make any rules they want. If you don't like it then you can quit and someone else will be glad to have any job with any rules.

    Under US Federal law, there is ZERO requirement for breaks. Any break over 20 minutes can be unpaid.

    Some STATES require breaks.

    Idk but I work 12 hour shifts in this factory for the summer and we get a 15, half hour and another 15 minute break and they're paid for, they should be, it's a 12 hour shift.

    Yes, it's legal. You do not have to be paid for a lunch break. Federal law doesn't require breaks at all. Some states do, but not two of 15 minutes each
