A Trump defeat would look like this: A decent conservative good charactered Democrat or Republican with leadership qualities and a dam good plan for America would step up! So far it is not happening.

Following Trumps defeat, he will issue a stream of vicious evidence free conspiracy theories, he will use every report of voter fraud from any source there is, no matter how insane and ridiculous they are!

Remember this is the guy that couldn’t accept he lost the popular vote even though he had won the election! That wasted money and resources on a committee to look into it, which shortly after was disbanded due in partly to the fact that in truth it was a figment of his imagination and paranoia!!!

Trump has emboldened every far right hate group and individual in America and for that matter across the world, and following his defeat this country at least needs to be on a high alert!!!

I predict that Trump will hand off the Presidency without saying a word.

No it won't look like a normal transition of power. I suspect that if Trump loses he will refuse to concede. He will probably gin up conspiracy theories and claim the election was stolen from him. He will likely not cooperate with the incoming administration in trying to smooth out the transition. I'm also 100% certain that whaterver else happens, Trump will not follow the precedent set by other presidents and refrain from commenting on ongoing events. For generations, former presidents have respected the idea that we have one president at a time by largely retiring from the public stage and not commenting on ongoing events. There's a few exceptions to this rule, former presidents still give some speeches and often write a memoir. They will, very rarely, comment on ongoing events. But I don't think Trump is going to do that. He's going to keep sounding off about whatever is going on and criticizing his successor for everything. I think that what the news media should do is just not cover him. Maybe there will be exceptions for something especially significant, but once he's out of office they shouldn't report on what he's saying and tweeting.

There will be outrage, calls for recounts, claims of voter fraud and Trump will make some very ignorant comments that will only contribute to the uncertainty and fuel his angry base. However, each state reports their electoral votes and Congress certifies the result of the election.

Thank goodness we control Congress and our voting systems are largely controlled on the local level. Therefore internal tampering will hopefully be kept to a minimum.

Vote early folks! Vote as early as you can and vote in person. This will go a long way towards insuring your vote is counted.

THE REPUBLICANS SHOULD CHALLENGE EVERY CLOSE RACE THEY LOSE BECAUSE THERE IS NO DOUBT THAT VOTER FRAUD WILL PLAY A MAJOR PART IN THE 2020 ELECTIONS

We either have faith in our elections or we dont have a democracy. Putin wants us to doubt our elections and question the legitimacy of our leaders. Good job comrade.

You really think sleepy Joe, fake Native Warren, or Comrade Bernie have a snowflakes chance in hell of beating Trump?

Also that's a bit hypocritical of you seeing how Democrats still refuse to admit Trump won the 2016 election by winning the suburbs and the Moderate vote

There will never be any "transition of power" no matter who is elected. Trump is in the pocket of the ruling class, those who shall not be questioned, just as much as Obama, Bush, Clinton, Bush. Nobody is even permitted on stage unless they understand their real position.

If we had democracy, there would be no: 2008 banker bailouts, patriot act, massive third-world immigration, Obamacare, and the TSA molesting us at airports.

Trump is a self made billionaire he is in no one's pocket but his own. He doesn't need anyone's money so he can't be bought unlike Bernie who went from one house to 3 houses since he lost in 2016 thanks to DNC money that bought him off
