Toyota financial filed a car accident claim on the car I have back to them. Can they do this?

I filed bankruptcy on this car and it was discharged they’ve had the car back for a month. Filed the claim for June and I gave them the car back July 16th. I wasn’t involved in an accident. So I’m not sure why they’ve trying to.

Was the car in perfect condition when you returned it? No scratches, bumps, etc.

If there were scratches and bumps Toyota is trying to re-coop some of the money that it is costing them to repair the car.

You don't file bankruptcy on a car. It may have been included in the bankruptcy case, but you didn't file ON IT.

Seems as if they already did "do this".

Notify/ask/seek advice from the lawyer that you surely have for your bankruptcy. Why wouldn't you ask him instead of people on the internet?
