Have a surveyor come out and mark your property lines, then put the fence 6" inside the lines. Dig the post holes 2 feet deep and place the 4x4 pressure treated posts in the holes. Make sure the posts are lined up then fill the holes with concrete. After the concrete sets up screw the fence panels to the posts and you should be done.

there are plenty of YouTube videos showing how to do this. It starts with planning and installing posts. some communities may require a building permit .. ask at the permits office

Get a string and a shovel and find the bench marks at the corners of the area you are fencing. There is a survey plot somewhere that shows you where they are and what they are. You put all of the fence on your property so that you have legal control of it. So you run the string and figure out where the gates go and where each post is located. Mark the spots with a spray from a can. Be sure the holes are in the right spots for the lumber you are using. Then you dig the holes. Then you put the post in the hole and fill the hole full of concrete. Have to get them vertical with a level. After a couple of days, start putting in the rails. Use fence screws and a drill. Put in the top rail and tie all of the posts together, then a bottom rail between the posts. Then the panel boards. Use a level and keep them vertical. And you take the good side and leave the neighbor with the post/rail side. Then you build and set gates and reinforce the fence where the gates are so that. Use a least 6x6 post to support a gate, and 4x4 posts for the line posts. The panels should be whatever looks good to you. When you fill the hole with concrete, use good concrete and bring the concrete about 3 inches above the ground level. This will double the life of the fence because a wood fence fails by rotting off at the ground line of the post. Raised concrete to keep the wet dirt away will fix it. Same reason that the walls of your house are raised by a foundation.

There are many different designs. Explaining any of them in text like this would be difficult at best. Your three best options are:

    1. Do a search and find something you like on YouTube.

    2. Go to Home Depot and buy a pre-made fence. They come in different sizes. 6'x8' is an option for many. Then you just need to attach it to whatever it is you need to attach it to. That might be putting in fence poles or it might be to existing poles, a house, etc.

    3. Go to Home Depot and look at the pre-made fence sections. Take a lot of pictures. Go home and recreate what you saw.
