Do you wash ground beef before cooking?

    No, I only usually wash fruits and vegetables.

    No.. I don't rinse it after cooking, either. I was surprised when I saw somebody do that... I DO rinse a steak and chicken if they've been in the fridge for a couple of days, but I would never put soap on them. Call me silly, but I don't enjoy diarrhea.

    Absolutely not. I buy from a trusted supplier (Sam's Club) or grind it myself. First, if ground beef is contaminated, the contamination will likely be throughout the ground beef.

    Secondly, you can wash whle pieces of beef waiting to be ground, but you can't wash pre ground beef for most applications.
