Has anyone ever gone to jail for skipping jury duty?
I went couple times but I was so bored spending an entire week doing nothing but wait in a room that I no longer go when I get notices.
I ignored the last notice and now received a postcard saying I'll be fined if I don't report. So is this serious or just bluffing?

I don't know anyone personally, but I'll bet they do occasionally set an example.
It doesn't take much effort to make a request for excusal and see what the municipality says.
If they are stringent on the obligation at least you get paid.

Know of several that skipped jury duty and when they tried to renew their drivers license they were not able to do so. They had to go to court to pay a hefty fine and then were able to get their license.

i've heard that you can, at least be locked up for a few days for it, that or fined....or both

Serious as a heart attack. Courts take jury duty very seriously.

Yes, it happens more often than you think. Jury duty is something you must not shirk.

Yes. Mostly people who told the judge something akin to what you said here.

No bluff. The judges don't fool around. Just report, sit there, you'll probably be dismissed. But if you do make it to the selection process, you can have some real fun there with the lawyers. I got a "What?" after I kept staring at the tie of the lawyer that was questioning me.

It is serious, if you don't believe it, just keep ignoring the notices.
