Friend have you ever heard the following what goes up must come down for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction? Well friend without a big song and dance if you get high you have to get low. and if you went out to get high in the first place it was because you were feeling low in the first place! So now you're doubling the problem that you originally had. A drug or alcohol 6 is worse than no fix at all. when you take opiates to get rid of your pain. When the opiates wear off not only is your pain still there but now you have the pain caused by the opiate withdrawal. It's the same darn thing with alcohol when the alcohol wears off you have a hangover twice the pain that you were in before! And your liver and your kidneys are poisoned! And don't forget driving under the influence and the possibility of getting into accidents that kill people.

Yes your life will be better without drugs and alcohol take it from an ex drug addict don't go there!

No blackouts, no offending people, no engaging in risky behaviours. E.g. Unprotected sex, no Hangovers, more productive, look better, more money, better health, more energy, less weight gain, better memory, less depression, less anxiety, happier, more time to do other things. Hope this helps

For many, abstaining from alcohol isn’t the end of the world. In fact, their lives are simpler bc they wake refreshed each day without underlying guilt or shame toward behaviors they either can’t remember (scary in itself), or find embarrassing. There’s much less drama, more financial security, and better physical and mental health benefits from abstinence. Another plus is that abstainers are more interesting and active for the most part, too.
