What is this part to my brakes? It s an 02 chevy cavalier.?

I blew a brake line and I decided to cut into clean metal so I wouldnt have to worry about the rust. I made the cut behind a certain part that seems to only be able to go one specific way because the threading on one side is different from the other. I was just wondering what the part was specifically.

goto the wreckers and find a good brake line and change it? Unless you're a brake fitter why would you buy a brake flaring tool for a couple of flares brakes use a double flare . or get a brake shop to make the replacement line. No extra joins that aren't factory.

If you don't know how to cut, flare and add flare fitting to brake lines - just buy complete brake lines. You have no business cheaping-out on brake parts at your current knowledge level.

You can buy brake lines that are cut to the proper length with the right ends to fit your car. Nobody cuts and splices their brake lines.
