"Usually" the car that is in the middle of the intersection has the right of way and gets to go first to clear the intersection of the vehicle. The guy making the left can stop and wait until the intersection car is through. As that other vehicle could be a logging truck with a load of logs or a farmer with a couple of trailers trailing him so making a corner takes a bit of space and when he is through the intersection is cleared.
Refer to your Driver's Training manual. You seem to have forgotten stuff. Just because it was not a question on your VERSION of the Written Test does not mean it is not stuff you are not suppose to know by heart.
They only gave you a written test of 50 questions, mainly because they got to draw a line somewhere.
. In your area go to your DMV and pick up and retain the Driver's Training Manual. Read it for your situation and many other intersection situations that you also forgot (as it is mainly drawings.)
Remember, these are the RULES OF THE ROAD. It is not necessarily the truth that the other guy remembers either.(but some do)
Then, the OTHER RULE HOLDS TRUE.
The guy with the BIGGER BADDER VEHICLE owns the road and you just let him go first because you have a wife and kids so getting home SAFE is more important than who goes first as you are talking about a FEW SECONDS.
Again, this is how it "Should happen" There is no guarantee that it will happen, which is "why" you watch the other driver and see if they are fully aware that they are driving or they are in "La La Land talking on their cell phone"
>I make those turn every day and never even think about it. It is like tying your shoelace ...after awhile your fingers do it automatically, you do not think about doing it.<
