I'm flying to Belgium to see my brother in law. Why can't I find any phrasebooks for the Belgian language?

They have a bunch of French and Dutch ones, but they don't have any Belgian ones

You should stay home. They speak French and Dutch. Belgian is not a language.

LOL. That's because the official languages of Belgium are French and Dutch.

If you're trying to insinuate that Belgium doesn't have its own languages... The languages predate the countries, and both Dutch and French have part of their roots in what is now Belgium.

Because the languages of Belgium are Flemish and French. There isn't a Belgian language.

Belgium has two language zones where they speak French (but rather different to the French they speak in France) and Flemish which is a regional form of Dutch. When the two groups need to communicate with each other, they usually do so in English. Except for the Marolles - a district of Brissels - where they speak a dialect of mixed French and Dutch that absolutely no-one else can understand.

Besides French, the language spoken in Belgium IS Dutch.
