What does wearing a hat have to do with "bowing down"?? In any case, in the one Church Jesus Christ founded, to which He promised the fullness of truth, women are free to wear whatever they prefer.

“Every woman that prays or prophesies with her head uncovered shames her head,” wrote the apostle Paul. Why? Because of the divine principle of headship: “The head of a woman is the man.” Praying or preaching in the Christian congregation is normally the responsibility of a man. Hence, when a Christian woman cares for matters pertaining to worship that ordinarily would be performed by her husband or by a baptized man, she should wear a head covering.—1 Corinthians 11:3-10.

That's not even what was said in the Bible. Some things were written for the culture of that time. Then it was appropriate and expected for a woman to be covered because seekers then were more barbaric. Now it's not that way and laws protect women.

Read the Bible. Unless a woman hair is long and straight, she us suppose to have it covered when ever paying or professing.

For a fact this isn't something seen inside a kingdom hall. Women only cover their head when teaching or representing others in prayer in the absence of a baptized male.
