Does the bible (Old Testament) mention something like, when someone is anointed with oil and that oil spills/touches someone else?

The Hebrew word “Anoint”, basically means “to smear with liquid.” Oil was applied to a person or an object to symbolize dedication to a special service.

In the Middle East in Bible times, greasing a person’s head with oil was a sign of favor toward him or an act of hospitality toward a guest. Generally, the oil used was olive oil with perfume added to it. The Hebrews also poured oil on a person’s head, or anointed him, when he was officially appointed to a special position of authority.

Kings were anointed with oil, as when Samuel, anointing Saul, “took the flask of oil and poured it out upon his head.” (1Sa 10:1) A horn of oil was used when Solomon was anointed.—1Ki 1:39.

When it comes to “anointing oil”, in the Law God gave to Moses, he prescribed a formula for the anointing oil. It was of a special composition of the choicest ingredients—myrrh, sweet cinnamon, sweet calamus, cassia, and olive oil. (Ex 30:22-25) With it, Moses anointed the tabernacle, the ark of the testimony, the various sanctuary utensils, and its furniture. Moses also used it in anointing Aaron and his sons, to sanctify them as priests to Jehovah God. (Ex 30:22-33; Le 8:10-12)

It was a capital offense for anyone to compound this mixture and to use it for any common or unauthorized purpose. (Ex 30:31-33) This figuratively demonstrated the importance and sacredness of an appointment to office that had been confirmed by anointing with sacred oil. (subheading: What did it mean for a person to be anointed?)

Sorry I did not see anything about if it "spills/touches someone else".

1"Behold, how good and how pleasant it is

For brothers to dwell together in unity!

2It is like the precious oil upon the head,

    Coming down upon the beard,

    Even Aaron’s beard,

Coming down upon the edge of his robes.

3It is like the dew of Hermon

    Coming down upon the mountains of Zion;

For there the LORD commanded the blessing—life forever." (Psalm 133)

This imagery seems to imply that unity is like overabundant oil spreading to others or dew descending from the heavens spreading to the mountains. Oil is also the symbol of joy i.e. the 'oil of gladness,' which can certainly spread from one person to another.

  • The word anointing is about the old and it is also about the new testament, however, I will highlight the biblical passage about the new testament.

Let us read first of all what is written in it:

    James 5:14-18

14 Is any of you sick? Call the elders of the church, and they shall pray upon him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, 15 and the prayer of faith shall save the sick and the Lord shall heal him; and if he hath committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. 16 Confess your failures to one another, and pray for one another, that ye may be healed; much can the prayer of the righteous be effective.

So, is the biblical context clear enough?

We will give its proper spiritual interpretation, on everything that interests true believers, Christians.

There have been cases of physical illness in the church, and during worship of God, an appeal was made to those who wished to be healed of God.

Well, believers introduced themselves, who asked for the anointing of the oil and the elders to the preacher, they approached together, they first prayed to God, and then, they anointed the sick with oil, God healed him instantly!

In any case, I wish to point out to believers that it is not the capacity of oil that can heal a person, it is the faith of the sick person, who turns to God in prayer. Then, it is also the observance of the oil, according to the word of God. The Almighty God, together with the faith of anointing, performs the miracle on the sick.
