Should you put Bitdeffender on a SSD or HDD?

I m wondering because of virus scans uses lots of writes.

Also the updates are sometimes 200-300mb.

Thank you so much, Very appreciated

A virus scan does not use any writing except when it doesn't update to the anti-virus scan is going on it's reading! Which doesn't shorten the life of the hard drive in the least when something is found it's bad then there is some writing. There's no problem and putting your antivirus on an SSD.
