The debt has become a non-issue since Trump took office. Remember how Republicans p***ed and moaned about the deficit when Obama was in office? In one fell swoop, Trump increased the US debt by over a trillion dollars with his tax cuts which went mostly to the wealthiest 10% and corporations. You know, the biggest campaign donors.

Yeah, they're proud - since money is the biggest measurer of all, and they've managed to pass on the tax burden to the people who can least afford it, the middle class and low-income people.

Guess what's going to happen? In order to feign "fiscal responsibility," Trump and the GOP are going to have to cut back elsewhere, like education, social security, food stamps, and other social programs. The US economy might be rolling along mightily right now, but that's going to end sooner or later.

A booming economy is the time to be paying DOWN the debt, not INCREASING it. There is another recession coming - it's inevitable. What are the GOP going to do when they're faced with even bigger deficits when the bottom falls out?

I can tell you one thing - it will be the middle-class and poor people who get royally screwed.

Yeah the one thing that will turn Trump supporters against him is deficit spending.

I'll be fair on this one. I am disappointed that Trump has done virtually nothing about the deficit. But it's not like Obama balanced the books either.

Obama was faced with the Great Recession and spent us out of it. Trump has only one exit, cut social security and Medicare.

A trillion tax cut for the rich .. yes they are very proud of it.

GOP thinks that taxes are for suckers, you know, the actual workers, just like military service .. Trump gets out for sore feet and 60 thousand are killed in Vietnam.

The GOP has absolutely no principles and has now decided that truth doesn't matter either.

    Are they proud, you ask?

Are reptiles capable of pride and shame? Does the question even make sense?

    • Obama's vacations cost about $106 million over 8 years. Trump's vacations have cost about $102 million in 2 1/2 years, and much of that money has gone into his own pockets.

They'll blame it on SNAP benefits

But as long as Billionaires are happy, the GOP is happy
