Is it normal for someone to struggle a lot to get a high paying job?

    Sure enough, initiative and ambition, along with intelligence will help a lot. But in mid-management, it is often the case that is as far as many go. Certain "barriers" await: 1. Friends of the Boss 2. Relatives of the boss. Self employment is a better choice for many, perhaps a "networking" business with a residual (commission over ride). There are several that have lasted, like Amsoil and Amway.
