Is living by a tobacco farm bad for your health?

Is living by a tobacco farm bad for your health? I know tobacco plants (the leaves?) have nicotine. So, does living by a tobacco farm mean you will inhale nicotine consistently? Thanks!

Of course not. The nicotine is stored in the leaves, it doesn't get aspirated into the surrounding atmosphere.

I think if you picked and handled raw tobacco a lot you might absorb some nicotine through your skin. (Like poison ivy!) I doubt you'd breathe enough of it to make a difference.

But nicotine is not a carcinogen. It's addictive, but it hasn't been shown to be harmful. SMOKING is harmful because of all the other stuff in the smoke.

    Plants create oxygen

Besides if tobacco was really that bad then it would be illegal
