Why does so much of the world's population enjoy drinking tea even though it basically tastes like hot pond water.?

It's the year 2019, tea manufacturers should update their flavors like sour punch or blueberry blast.

Because they're adults that don't need things like "sour punch or blueberry blast".

I drink tea (especially iced) because I LIKE how it tastes....I can't stand lemon flavoring (or peach or sour grape or anything else) in my tea.

Yes another adolescent with the palate of an 8yr old - making dopey comments about a world class beverage. God help us all.

That wouldn't be tea. That would be fruit drink. If tea actually tasted like hot pond water, no one would drink it.

It's a compromise between coffee and hot chocolate.

You have been having really bad tea if your tea tastes like hot pond water. I don't think sour punch would be a good flavor for tea. I think it would be hard to call it tea if it tasted like sour punch.
