Why poor people have more children than rich people?

Does it mean poor people do not have means or knowledge to plan a family, while the rich have the means to buy condoms and other devices to prevent child birth ?

Well, statistically speaking, poor people aren't as intelligent as rich people. And unintelligent people tend to be much more influenced by religion so that they won't get an abortion. Plus they're more likely to have a terrible upbringing which leads to them having low self-esteem, so that they wouldn't think they could ever do any better than pump out a couple of kids and live off welfare.

PS. This is coming from a poor person.

I decided to not answer this question, it seems to me it always comes down to, if you are Black, Hispanic or White. And if you Rich or Poor, people are people. We were a created by God.

Most humans want to contribute to society. Girls who don't have enough education for other work will often choose motherhood as a career. Getting educated often costs money.

Wellpaying careers often don't leave time for raising children

Wealthy people are reluctant to scatter their property when their children inherit.

For poor people, that makes no difference how many kids they got: they will inherit nothing

Poor people typically take less responsibility for themselves than wealthy people. Many are "surprised" when they are expecting and don't give sufficient thought to the future ramifications of their immediate actions. Another factor is welfare, the poorest understand that more children mean more funds from the federal government. That in and of itself combined with the responsibility issue make it and incentive to have more children.

No, it means that responsible people have as many children as they can afford. Those who do not work get extra benefits for popping out kids. If that kid turns out to have ‘issues’ extra benefits too. Ever wondered why we now have many kids with ‘special needs’?
