Mueller himself said didn't want to testify. He said that everything is in his report and there was nothing he could add. He's even refused to answer questions from the press.

I find it astonishing that, in spite of all that, you think Mueller is eager to testify.

  • Actually, I think if he truly has something to say, he should come out and say it.

Oh..that's right, he already said he wasn't going to add anything at his "press conference."

If that's true, then it would be even more evidence of a continuing effort at obstruction of justice. It's just another shovelful from the hole that Trump is digging for himself. If Trump loses in 2020, you could see indictments very soon after - I would love to see Trump perpwalked as he gets off Marine One for the last time.

  • FAKE NEWS ALERT!! Trump never told Mueller NOT to answer questions. Mueller testified he would not speak further on the issue of his report. My guess is: Mueller will answer democrats questions in a lame and useless attempt to tarnish Trump. When the Republicans ask questions, he will claim the 5th. Because Mueller conspired to remove a sitting president from office with fake evidence, lied to a FISA Court, and attempted to suborn perjury. If he opens his mouth to answer questions, he will be in a world of trouble.

Trump has no input into what Mueller answers or doesn’t answer. Nor how he answers.

    • Alexander is 100% correct, Jeff. Trump is the cookie-jar-breaking guilt-riddled toddler trying to obfuscate and obstruct so no one tells on him.

Nah. He's trying to goad Mueller into a fight because then it becomes political. Trump tried a similar thing a few years ago, claiming he had a "business relationship" with Mueller in the past.

    • The media should keep Justin Frank (author of "Bush on the Couch) on hand to translate toddler-stuck Trump's desperate attempts to avoid getting his comeuppance for a lifetime of mobbed up criminality. He diverts, whines, obstructs, throws tantrums, attacks the truth-telling messengers.

It's kind of funny that the DOJ would instruct Mueller not to answer any questions that deviate from the text of his report.

Trump said the report "exonerated" him, which means, of course, that the report actually proved he was not guilty. That would mean that there are no facts that would establish guilt anywhere to be found. I would think Trump would be HAPPY to have Mueller share everything that was not in the report.

That is, unless Trump was lying in the first place when he said the report exonerated him. But Trump wouldn't lie, would he?

If Mueller says things that are not on the report one could reasonably ask why that was omitted.

Then one could reasonably ask what else was omitted in the report.

Mueller changing the story now would kill the credibility of the report.

    • @ Armchair ~ Trump is the accused. Plus, Mueller already testified he did not refrain from presenting evidence due to the Justice Department's in-house rule for not indicting a sitting President. Enjoy your nothing-burger.
