how much will a hamburger cost if the minimum wage is $15 an hour?
Sure the McDonald's version of not a real hamburger will be at least $5
yeah its going to $12 an hour in Arizona. The only ones happy about it is the sales tax collectors that get more off the increased prices.I'm going to raise the rent to compensate.

How cheap would it be if the chain would decline making profits?
BTW a hamburger apparently costs 6 square meters of rainforest

It may actually stay the same price. The more unskilled labor costs, the more likely someone will make a machine to do that job. IE: at one time we had cheap farm workers to pick tomatoes. Then they formed a union and got a nice pay hike. So they invented tomatoes with thicker skins and a machine to pick them. It is quite possible that they will make a machine that will cook the patties, put them on a bun, add the extras (correctly, unlike the unskilled workers) wrap it and stick it all in a bag. They would only need one person to watch the machinery, maybe one to clean up and take out the garbage. They could use automatic order devices (like the drive up at Subway) that can take cash or do a credit card. You may even find fast food places where you never see a person. It might actually be cheaper to buy a burger if they get rid of 90% of the employees.

Too bad we don't have some people called economists who have studied these things extensively and can show that raising the minimum wage does not cause the cost of products to rise very much. If we did have such people, you could actually read their studies and evidence and answer your own question.

Whatever the consumer is willing to pay for one.
After all the original "big Mac" cost 45 cents.Try getting one for that price now. And yet people still scoff them down by millions.

The same, after the franchisee gets another unit to eek out the same profit for a macmansion.

Bad news bud, nothing in that fast food burger can legally be called 'food' to start with. You'd be better off eating whatever money you were going to spend.

here in CA we have $11 min wage.
if you go to fast food expect to spend about $10 per person.

Lol good question. I guess it depends on the place as I’ve been to places that charge 8 dollars for a burger.
