How do I transport an iMac through checked in luggage at the airport?

So basically I’m going on vacation somewhere and I want to bring my 20 inch 2008 iMac. i’ve had this computer since i was 8 so i am very stretched to it and love it so much so i like to bring it everywhere. how do i bring it to my destination on a plane? is there a bag for it? i love it so much i’m obsessed with it and couldn’t live without it so i need to make sure it isn’t damaged and is fine when i get to my destination

Update:

i’m super attatched to it

An iMac will not fit in a laptop case.

Do not check a computer. It will almost certainly be damaged, and could be stolen. You can make do without it while on vacation. It will probably be good for you.

Wrap it in a blanket so it will have 2 inches of padding all around it.
