What good is the BBB really?
Better Business Bureau...they are so worthless in the city I live in, no help at all

The BBB is a rating service and never intended to be a consumer assistance service

they are basically the same thing as google reviews, they have no authority whatsoever
pretty much only babyboomers are the only people who care if a business is BBB accredited

They are a reporting agency, don't fix things

What are you expecting them to do...they don't actually resolve disputes. They accept complaints and check to see if legitimate, then rate the business.
What are you expecting them to do? If you got scammed...you speak with the police.

They are a marketing agency.
They have been removed from some large cities including Los Angeles.

The BBB doesn't manage disputes between customers and businesses. They "assign rankings to businesses, charities and non-profit organizations. The BBB stores data about companies and uses dispute resolution procedures established by the Council of the Better Business Bureaus."
So if they refused to intervene between you and some business you feel treated or charged you unfairly, that's to be expected.

The name of the agency is Better BUSINESS Bureau. Not IDIOT CUSTOMER bureau. If you think you are being cheated, you can always go talk to a lawyer.

Wrong, they are a consumer assistance service and can mediate complaints.
