No, that's high enough to cause a hypertensive crisis and likely result in a heart attack

No, that is WAY too high. You need to seek help immediately. You have stage 3 hypertension (also called a hypertensive emergency) and you are at immediate risk of a heart attack or stroke. Here's the scale for blood pressure:

<90/60 = hypotension (low blood pressure)

    90/60 - 129/84 = normal <-- YOU SHOULD BE HERE

    130/85 - 139/89 = pre-hypertension (slightly high, but still okay)

    140/90 - 159/99 = stage 1 hypertension (high blood pressure)

    160/100 - 179/109 = stage 2 hypertension (very high blood pressure)

    >179/109 = hypertensive emergency (get medical help immediately) <-- YOU ARE HERE

Again, go to the doctor RIGHT NOW! Do not do anything that would raise your blood pressure in the meantime, like: getting anxious or stressed, drinking, smoking, or consuming salt.

Seeing as blood pressure is around 120/80, give or take, your levels look dangerously high. Seek medical attention right away.

That is too high for a resting blood pressure. If your blood pressure is still this high after a reasonable period of rest, it is a risk to your health.
