Why do bankers have the absolute advantages inside a casino?
- STEPHENLv 77 months ago
Because the casino wouldn't be in business if the punters had any advantage. You thin a casino is cheapto run?
A casino isn't an equal contest. The banker/house ALWAYS has an advantage.

It's a bit complicated to explain on Yahoo Answers because I could draw you a chart which would explain why. But, the laws of mathematical probability and the finite resources of an individual gambler (as compared to the greater resources of the casino) result in YOU running out of money before the casino does. Also, many games (like slots) are adjusted to give the house an edge.

Do you mean the bank itself? Not the bankers playing against the casino...right? If talking about the casino...its a matter of basic math that gives them the advantage.
Sure, bankers are smart and could train to understand where in the casino you are getting the real advantages...but plenty of other people are smart too and do the same things.

Bankers? Do you mean the 'house' (meaning the dealer/casino)? It's a business. All businesses do whatever they can to make money. They keep their prices set so that they don't lose money. Casinos only offer games where they odds are in their favor so that they can make a profit.

The owners have to pay the staff, maintain the buildings, pay their taxes and have enough left over to make their investment worthwhile. If the bank didn't have an advantage, they'd go bust very quickly.
