What was accomplished by invading Iraq?

    Whos the leader of iraq? Is he threatening us and causing a ton of problems in the middle east? Didnt think so

      The old leader that we got rid of was fighting Iran, had we not removed Saddam, then Iran would be much weaker today, we'd have him as a puppet to keep Iran under control, too bad you haven't considered that.

    The idea was to nationalize Iraq. But the presidents of the past didn't understand the fractious mindset of Muslims. The Iraqis were not really identifying as nationalists. Then W Bush misjudged the leaders in that they were just going to be corrupt and partisan. Kinda like what we have now in the Democrat Party- they will do whatever they can to destroy themselves, either on purpose or inadvertently. You know, F-ups.
