I usually just walk at a normal pace but if I quicken up the pace how long do I need to walk for?

    Depends on your goals.

    Assuming burning calories its more about distance over duration if you walk 5 miles slow you burn about the same as 5 miles fast. Just one takes longer.

    Assuming improved heart/lung fitness if you can raise your heart rate keep it up as long as possible and aim to extend on future sessions. You wiull burn the equivalent calories by distsnce but the increased work of your heart may improve your cardio fitness a bit better.

    Try for at least one mile each day. but more is better.

    Doesn’t matter the pace you’re walking, what matters is the distance you walk.
