Bolt on motorcycle mirror?

The mirrors on my motorcycle has a single bolt that goes from the mounting bracket through the end of the mirror to secure it to the bike. It threads through, and when it's tight all's good. But if I were to fold down the mirror then I end up having to get an Allen wrench to make it tight or the mirror won't stay up. What would be the best way the secure the mirror but still be able to fold down when necessary without having to find a wrench?

I have to set it and use a drop of Gorilla Glue. Either that or pay $40 for a new OEM mirror at dealer. Check E Bay.

There are aftermarket mirrors that use RAM mounts which work really well and are hand-adjustable. Get 'em.

    • I would but I don't know if they would work... Bike is 05 sv650s mirrors mount on the front fairing
