Matthew 24:21 21 For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be.

The future Tribulation is clearly mentioned by the above Scripture.

Such a global catastrophe is the only thing which could change the strategic balance of power between the nations.

The balance of power can be fundamentally shifted between the nations by killing 99.99 percent of the citizens who belong to the most powerful nation state.

However, the Scripture has also made it clear that the Tribulation has never happened since God created this earth, and will never happen again.

The Great Tribulation can only happen once, which implies that the strategic balance of power can only be radically changed ONCE, and ONCE only.

Consequently, whichever nation is dominant in the immediate aftermath of the Tribulation will be forever dominant, because it would take a "second tribulation" to change the balance of power yet again.

But the Bible has made it clear that the Tribulation can only happen ONCE, and ONCE only.

Therefore, whichever country is dominant in the immediate aftermath of the Tribulation will always be dominant, because nothing can displace that country and have it replaced by yet another country:-
Update: Daniel 2:44 And in the days of these kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed; and the kingdom shall not be left to other people; it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, AND IT SHALL STAND FOREVER.
