If you put two names on a cashier check do they both need to be there to cash it?
- RICKLv 75 months ago
Both have to sign it
If they have a joint account only one needs to go to the bank

If they want to cash it, yes. If it's to be deposited to a joint account, no.

Both have to sign off. In order to cash it though, both would need to be there most likely.
Much easier to simply deposit with both people having signed off.

Just use an atm to deposit it and keep it moving because if the word “and” is present, then the check belongs to both people listed so you cannot cash this kind of check on your own. There are no alternative ways to cash this kind of check which is why i said to just use an atm machibe and keep it moving
