Was there much free movement in the mountains between West Virginia& Virginia after they split,as the locals would’ve been used to selling?

And buying goods from neighbours in the same region even though they were technically enemies

There probably was little trade taking place across the mountains between the Virginia's at that time, with the exception of larger business ventures. The mountains along the border are rugged, your average person wasn't crossing them on a regular basis.

West Virginia is a bad state. You can tell that conservatives have ruined it. That’s why we need to keep conservatives from going north (or east id they are on the panhandle)
