Is Monty Python's Life of Brian historically accurate?

I'm looking into Roman movies and stumbled on Life of Brian. Is it very historically accurate compared to something like HBO's Rome?

There really was a Roman general named Bigus Dickus.

It's a comedy, not history. It relies on the well known stories in the Gospels, which are not very historically accurate either.

It’s on a par with most other offerings and at least they get the Latin right.

    Obviously not. It's a comedy.
