Did they change Spider Woman's costume for SJW reasons?

The original / classic costume looks so much better. The new one looks boring, bland and almost like street attire. It basically looks like a jacket worn over black jeans or something.

Update:

No, Gwen Stacy is like the worst Spider girl in terms of character, and her costume with the hoody looks ridiculous. Basically Spider Gwen is just an SJW Diversity Quota character, nothing more.

How do the color patterns on the new design flow remotely better? The classic Red and Yellow design looks way better. No, that's not an underwear on the outside of her costume like Superman's, it's just an arrow pointing downward.

Ridder? What?

Update 2:

The classic Spider Woman costume, much like Spider-man's Red-Blue costume, gives an impression of a Human Spider. Like a Human who wants to be a Spider or a Human that is a Spider. And Spiders are colorful. (Look up the many species of different spiders and the colors and patterns they display, especially the Jumping Spiders.) The classic costume makes a statement, the same way that Batman's costume does with its dark colors with the two pointy ears. It charactarizes the symbolic connection

Update 3:

between Bruce Wayne and the Bat. The same way, Spider Womans classic outfit symbolizes her connection to the Spider.

Update 4:

This is what Spider-man / Woman are suppose to look like:

"I don't know what that means." - It means Spider Gwen is a lousy character.

The Riddler looks nothing like Spider Woman.

Tights in general superhero comics are changed in favor for more practical costumes. Batgirl and Elektra are two other recent examples.

However, Spider-Woman is getting her original outfit for 2019's Strikeforce comic

I like the one on the right. The colors of the pattern flow better. Plus the mask and hair on the left looks like the Riddler's, which is just weird.

But I like the Gwen Stacy costume more than the Jessica Drew costume.

    Edit:

"Gwen Stacy is like the worst Spider girl in terms of character, and her costume with the hoody looks ridiculous."

    Agree to disagree.

"Basically Spider Gwen is just an SJW Diversity Quota character, nothing more."

I don't know what that means.

"How do the color patterns on the new design flow remotely better?"

They blend better. The one on the left looks like a jigsaw puzzle.

    "Ridder? What?"

Riddler. With an L. Famous Batman villain. Look it up.

One notable example of ideological clashes is in the Daredevil tv series, where the idealistic Daredevil debates with the cynical Punisher about the crime in NYC. https://youtu.be/xWh6A6ZIpfo
