Should you be embarrassed if you are a basterd?

Like, If you were born before your parents got married. This means you are a basterd. I know that these days people say it's ok to be a basterd, and that we are in the 21st century now. But still. Lets face it. Now one wants to be a basterd. I wouldn't want to be a basterd. And I am so happy that my parents got married before I was born. Should you be embarrassed if you are a basterd?

People used to verbally abuse kids years ago by using that term. Every baby that is born is a gift to the world no matter if their parents didn't get married.

A bast@rd is a boy/man without a father. What you described is just born out of wedlock.

You're right, in my day things like this were not broadcast and most women wore a ring to back up the pretence. Being a bastard in my day was not good if your school mates found out. Today in the 21st century no one gives a shite. ;-(

Being a bastard long ago was a lot more shameful and such a disgrace. There are a lot of bastards now and they live a life just as well as "legal children".

I am glad I'm a child of married parents though and I would prefer to get married before I have kids...

No. It's not like you had anything to do with being illegitimate.
