It will in some ATMs but there will be a fee for using it.

You Must inform your bank. Mine was blocked in New York as I didn't inform them.

It's worth telling your bank you're going abroad (some may put a hold on your card for unexpected activity), but you'll probably be fine

Yes 'visa' is accepted in the majority of the worlds countries, certainly is in Italy...just inform your bank before you go otherwise they may put a hold on your card the first time you use it as it is not 'normal' for that card to be used elsewhere, so banks assume the card has been stolen and is being used

It should but you may want to call your bank and let them know you will be traveling.

yeah, but how do you know that the debit machine is not going to rip you off by giving you less currency than you should get?
