Is larynx cancer curable?

My mother and I know of a Catholic priest who is a friend and is going through this.

We don't wanna harass him but is it curable?

Like any other cancer if it is caught early it can be cured but I would not harass him as he has a lot to go through with operation and chemo etc

Nobody here can know his prognosis, and you don't 'harrass' anyone.

As a FRIEND, you can send him a card or note, letting him know that you have heard that he was ill and that (if it's part of your tradition/belief system) you will be praying for him/thinking of him, and are happy to help in any way you can and/or visit at a time that would be convenient for him.

Then you leave it up to him to share what HE is comfortable sharing about his condition, and arranging for a visit if he's up to it.

<sigh> How would anyone here know? We have no idea how early it was caught or how aggressive it is. The only way to know is to ask him.

Yes, a friend had it several years ago. You can never say cured.

Cancer is only curable if caught very early.

    Peace.

If it was caught in time it is curable. Whether his was caught in time is something only he can tell you.
