Does anyone remember the name of this show from the 1980s?
All I remember is part of the opening.
A family driving a hatchback car when a earthquake opens the road and they fall in.
I thought it was Land of the lost, but that starts with a river ride, or land of the giants, but that stared in 68, not in the 80s,
and I am pretty sure the show I am thinking of starts in a hatchback car and was made in the 80's.

UPDATE: googling... that song was written by the same guy who wrote "Killing Me Softly!" Also studied with Lennie Tristano.
UPDATE: sorry, sorry, I'm becoming obsessed with that song. More info here:

Could it have been Otherworld? That one did involve a family traveling to alternate realities, although I don't recall if there was a car.
If not, you might try the list of 1980s sci fi TV series at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:1980s_Ameri... and see if that helps.
hehe , I shared the same link I think. I did not see your reply. hehe :)
