Who was the King of England that also happened to be gay?

I'm not really sure if he was the King of England but he was the King of one of the kingdoms in the UK.

    William II

    Æthelstan

These two never married when there was a strong social obligation for them to do so. There were also others who were married and with children.

James I of England and VIth Scotland had male favourites who were probably his lovers, and William III (of William and Mary) similarly was suspected of favouring handsome young men.

Statistically there must have been more than one.

    Edward II.

He was a weak king who’s reign was disastrous compared to his father (the Hammer of the Scots)

He was possibly a lover of Piers Gaveston.. but whether he was or not his favouritism infuriated the barons who led a revolt, first banishing and then executing Gaveston when he returned.

Edward II himself was deposed and executed when his wife Isabela returned from France with an army to usurp him. His 14 year old son Edward III succeeded him.
