In the book It by Stephen King?

Beverly is being chased by her father after he discovers she’s been with boys. She remembers good times with him during the chase and the book says he was “the father-he, the maleman of her life, delivering a mixed post from that other sexual state.” What does that quoted phrase mean? Is it an analogy of some sorts?

No, it is not an analogy -- learn what that word means. It is not about an erection.
