A parallel circuit has a 6.90 volt source and a 2.00 ohm resistance and a 4.00 ohm resistance. What is the total current flow, in amps?

Total resistance = 1/(¼ +½) = 1⅓
Current = 6.9/1⅓ = 5.175

Since this is a parallel circuit, then the voltage source will push some amps through the 4 Ω resistor and of course the same for the 2 Ω resistor. Just add up the amps.
(6.9 / 4 = so many amps) + (6.9 / 2 = so many amps).
