As soon as Tesla comes out with a cable to tap into the car battery energy, you will be able to come home from work with a full charge and then power your house off your car till you leave for work the next morning.

The ban does not affect commercial properties such as restaurants, only single family homes, town homes and small apartment buildings. The ban only applies to new construction. Yes, electricity costs more than gas, but not that much more, and you do have the option to shop around for providers.
