We purchased a vented hood range and needed a ventless range hood. Can anyone recommend what we can do to transform this unit to ventless?

You need a carbon filter for it.

To do it RIGHT, you'll have to cut holes in the ceiling and roof, and install the piping to vent the fumes out to the outside. Don't push the fumes into the attic. That's asking for future problems, and could be dangerous.

BEST bet is to get the correct unit. It'll be MUCH cheaper in the long run.

That may be the right answer, but it answers a different question.

Didn't it come with instructions? There should be a metal plate that covers the vent on the back of the unit so that the air vent discharges out the front into the living space. If not, you need to return it and get one that is designed to do what you need.
